Hi Christian.
That’s a very clever piece of design.
If you are going to put some kits together in the future, I would be interested in one depending on the cost.
I would probably only need the body of the quad as I would use Tarot retractable landing gear…By the way did you think of using square tubing for the arms? It might make the alignment of the motors and the mounting quite a bit easier…? Not so pretty though!

Best DPdavidpulvermacherTeilnehmerHi George.
Great project.
I have looked through this thread on construction, but I cannot find a list of the hardware that is needed to make the frame:
Number of Stand offs and lenghts
Nut and bolt sizes and numbers needed. Can you direct me please?

davidpulvermacherTeilnehmerHi Benny et al
I have attached a 3D drawing of the parts for the 360 altered to suite a rail hanger system.
Perhaps this will be of use to anyone wanting to 3D print the parts.
The .rar file contains the file in .stl format and the other is in 3dm which can be imported into Autocad.
I hope this helps.By the way Benny where did the retractable landing gear on the Quad in the video come from. Tarot maybe?

Here are the files for a 3D model of the 360 gimbal, altered to accommodate a GoPro.
The drawing file are in *.3dm format, and the model was generated in Rhino 4.
Autocad should be able to import these files.
The ‚joined‘ file is 2d, and the lines are now continuous.
I deleted the connection points, which maybe wasn’t such a good idea!?
Hope this will be of use to someone!

Here’s a first shot at a model in Rhino, if anybody’s interested I could post the file in *.dwg format….

If you have already done a drawing for the GoPro version, could you post the DXF of that too please?I might see if I can have the thing cut in Cape Town……
The post is so erratic here that it might be a better option than to have you send one of your kits, which could get lost.
The joys of living in South Africa!!I’ll let you know soon. Most people should be back at work on Monday.
Best. DPdavidpulvermacherTeilnehmerHi Benny
Just to confirm that I will take a kit.
Please let me know what the extra will be for registered post to Cape Town, and I will do the payment for the full amount via PayPal.
The address is on my email.
Thanks very much.
